MMS and PGDM second year Finance students visited RBI on 6th Sept, 2017 and 15th Sept, 2017.
The main objective behind the visit was to make students aware about practical facts related to
financial markets and give them feel of real time issues occurs in the market.
There was an opportunity to interact with Mr. Kartik, Head of Financial Inclusion and Development Department and Mr. Pranasy from Currency Issue Department. It was great to know from Mr. Kartik on various issues such as aspects considered to design monetary policy, inflation trends, real time issues behind high NPAs etc as well as Mr. Pranay addressed on calculations behind currency printing and entire currency management of the economy.
Both sessions were very interactive and knowledge oriented. Students came to know about many real-time facts and figures about financial markets. We look forward for more such visits in future.
GNIMS B-school inaugurated its new PGDM Batch 2017-19 with a 6-day induction program.
The induction program helped students frame the right mindset for their journey of two years.
All the sessions were well received by the students with good vigor and enthusiasm.

The induction program started with an inaugural function wherein the Chief Guest invited was Ms. Smita Affinwalla (Founder and Managing Director of Illuminos Consulting Private Limited). This was followed by introduction of the GNIMS Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. The next activity was an ice breaker conducted by Prof. Sagaljit and Prof. Imran. This activity aimed to encourage students to know each other and talk in front of the class. For the second half of the day the students were engaged by Dr. Gurjeet Multani Dean Career Development Cell & HR. She and her team of staff and students not only addressed student regarding placement process but they also had an interactive session on team creativity.
Day two was engaged by 6 industry practitioners for an Inbound Experiential Learning Program. They made students go through various activities to sensitize them on self-awareness and team building.
Day three had two distinguished alumni of GNIMS invited to interact with the new batch of students. The session was co-ordinated by the Alumni Committee of GNIMS. The second half of the day the students had to go through a workshop on ‘Know Your Leadership Skills’ by Mr. Sushil Chander (HR Advisor and Coach).
Day four was the library day which included session on Library Orientation by Prof. Kuljit Kaur, a guest lecture on ‘How to Develop Reading Skills’ by Ms. Jyotsna Sawant and a computer based training session on Proquest by Mr. Sachin More.
Day five had students going through Sessions on Careers in various specializations like Finance, Marketing, HR, IT & Operations. Every Faculty-In Charge accompanied by all the Area Faculty Members went and interacted with the students.
Day six started with an orientation of the Student Handbook by the Course Co-ordinator. This was followed by a session on Examination System by Prof. Bins Mathew & Prof. Ritu Tuli. The second half of the day the students had a Session on ‘Management Lessons Through Movies’ conducted by Prof. Annie Pillai. The induction schedule concluded by a session on ‘Learning through Cases’ by Dr. Bigyan P. Verma.
20 th Sept’16: GNIMS started a unique program ‘Samvedna’ (Community Outreach Development Internship) with PGDM (2015-17). Students went out and worked for social causes like women empowermnent, child welfare, animal welfare,environment protection and many more. The Internship is an integral part of their course and it concluded with their evaluations on 20 th Sept’16. Dr.Narayan Iyer (CEO & National Co-ordinator, Indian Development Foundation evaluated the work done by students. IDF has an excellent track record of over three decades of humanitarian service to the nation Students shared their field experiences and learnings. This initiative aroused the sensitivity in students and many students are still continuing the good work started through the Social Internship. Dr.Iyer also shared some thoughts on Social Internship with the current PGDM (2016-18) batch.
10th Sept’16: Ms.Kavitha Alva (Behavioural Consultant and a Strengths Coach) addressed Second Year MMS Semester III HR & PGDM Trimester IV HR students on ‘Training Needs Analysis and path forward –Industry Insights’ Students learnt about “Mindmapping”,TNA the Industry way. Live cases discussed by facilitator was well appreciated by students.
MMS BATCH 2016-2018 was inagurated on Monday, 22nd August, 2016 with the
addressal of our Director Dr. Bigyan Prakash Verma. He spoke and addressed the students about the
dynamic environment of today's management and expectations from students towards course.

Dr. Jyontinder Kaur - Marketing, Prof. Unmesh Alawani - Operations and Prof. Imran Siddiqui - Human Resource.

He also explained about competencies required from an MBA student irrespective of all specializations i.e. Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations or Information Technology.
Post Lunch session was conducted by Mr. Hemant Tiwari on Goal Setting where students were addressed about how to set your targets and objectives in professional life and necessary steps needed for the same.
Psychometric test and Ice breaking workshop was conducted by Ms. Pratima Kaur - Professional Counsellor, which helped the students for self-analysis and to know themselves better and explore their strengths.
Last session of the day was conducted by Prof. Sameer Salunkhe - Class Coordinator (MMS First Year) in which Student's Handbook was explained in detail. It helped students to know culture, basic rules and regulations of the institute.
A guest lecture on "Impact of International Finance, International HR, International Marketing, International Logistics & Supply Chain on International Business --- An Indian Context " for the MMS & PGDM 2nd Year Sem-III students was organized onSaturday, 17th October, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for MMS A and 3:30pm to 6:30 pm for MMS B & PGDM, Dr. Satvinder Singh- Executive Director at JP Morgan Chase was the guest speaker. The current status of Indian economy and the future global challenges in HR, Finance, HR and operations was discussed by the speaker. The session was extremely interactive and was equally well received by the students.
Mr. Vijay Deshpande, Director-People Sciences introduced Second Year MMS & PGDM Sem III HR students to finer nuances of Global HRM on 24th Sep’15. Mr.Deshpande presented the challenges organizations faced with regards to laws,people management issues and shared instances from Industry.
A Guest Lecture was organized for Second Year MMS & PGDM Sem III students specializing in Human Resource on 'Cost Benefit Analysis -Training' on 14th Oct'15.Ms.Rukmini Iyer, Director Exult Solutions was the facilitator who took the students through the finer nuances of Training at organizations.The session helped students understand the rationale behind this investment at organizations.
28th Aug’15 witnessed Onam celebrations on GNIMS campus for the first time. An initiative from Second year MMS & PGDM HR students got the festive mood on campus not just for students but also faculty members.Significance of Onam to Pookalam to the perfect snacks everything was just right in Room No.201 the venue for the celebrations. Each one relished the food and the togetherness initiated by HR students.All faculty members appreciated students for this novel idea.

A Farewell Programme of MMS & PG Batch 2013-15 was organized on Sunday 26th April, 2015.
The inaugural address was given by the Director, followed by experience sharing by the respective class representatives.
This was followed by a host of awards given away which included Best Research Project Awards across Specializations, Best Student Volunteer Award, Placement Committee Students Felicitation and Best Student Awards across Specializations.
The evening concluded with a DJ jam session for the students followed by dinner.
This event left happy and memorable memories from the past two years to ponder upon.
A Guest Lecture was arranged on the topic of, “HR Planning – A Comparative Analysis of Public Sector & Private Sector” for the MMS HR Sem-II and MHRDM Sem-IV students on Sunday, 22nd March 2015.
Ms. Ridhima Parab (Founder - STEER HRD Solutions) and Mr. Chitendra Shetty (Chief Instructor - Basic Training Centre, Carriage Workshop, Central Railway, Matunga & Alumnus of GNIMS MHRDM 2010-2013 Batch) were the guest speakers. The speakers covered the following topics:
1. Practical Aspects of HR Planning with respect to the Corporate sector and SME’s by Ms. Ridhima Parab.
2. Application of HR Planning with respect to the Indian Railways by Mr. Chitendra Shetty
Both the sessions were interactive where in the students were encouraged to ask lot of questions. Most of the students in the feedback wrote that more such sessions should be organized.
A celebration of Talent
SGPC’s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies organized their inter-collegiate annual management and cultural festival ‘VIRSA’15’ from February 28 to March 01, 2015. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Bombay to Mumbai’. On the first day, inter-collegiate management event, sports activities and fashion show were held followed by DJ Wars sponsored by DJ Alex. The star cast of the Bollywood film, Badmashiyaan graced the event. Prasanna Soparkar, MD, Core Integra Consulting Services inaugurated the event.
The intra-cultural events were held on the second day. The special guests for this day were Vikas Sawant of India’s Dancing Superstar fame and Anita Vallala, Partner associate, Genesis Burson-Marsteller. As an initiative for peer learning an interactive session was organized between MMS & PG HR students and MHRDM Sem V students.
The session was conducted on 13th Sept & 4th Oct 2014 wherein during the first session the MHRDM students introduced their profiles to the MMS & PG students and spoke about some unique job related challenges that an HR executive faces.

Students of GNIMS have recently attended EMVIES 2014 event at Welingkar Institute of Management Studies on 11th of September 2014.
The event which recognizes the outstanding work done by the media agencies every year really gave the marketing students an opportunity to attend the case presentations made by media agencies like Maxus, Mindshare, Madison, Mediacom, Lodestar and many more in front of the panel.
It was a fantastic event giving GNIMS students a great exposure to see live presentations of media agencies being judged on the criteria of Originality, Uniqueness, Impact on Clients Business and relevance to brand and its communication participating under 12 categories. The event was a turning point especially for those students who are eager to get into the media industry.
Continuing the tradition of last year this year also the MMS & PGDM HR students were taken for a trade union visit to the Matunga unit of Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh Trade Union.
The interaction started with Mr. Shetty (Training Department) explaining the structure of Indian Railways. Shri. V.K. Sawant (Chairman) then sensitized students on various issues like employee strength, job related challenges of railway employees. The concept of trade unions and industrial relations with respect to Central Railway was then explained in detail with reference to various affiliated bodies at state, national and international level.
Role of trade union in employee welfare and dispute settlement was also discussed. It was indeed and exhaustive learning experience for the HR students.

Dr. A. Saraf (Group Director – Aeronautical Development Agency & Diya Bengaluru) delivered a talk on ‘Positive Thinking – Key to Excellence’ on 05th Sept’14.
Dr. Saraf spoke about introducing positive thoughts and the wonders that positive thoughts can bring in our lives. Short stories, examples from Indian Inc,Mythology made the session really interesting. Incidents from Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, Indian educationists and freedom fighter and success stories were shared with students.
Stress and ways to manage stress was also covered in the talk by Dr. Saraf which was much needed by the First Year MMS students. The Question Answer session conducted by Ms. Suchita Shetty (Assistant Professor –GNIMS) had an array of questions from the students. Students appreciated the session and understood the significance of positive thoughts.
The Induction program of the PGDM Batch 2014-16 was inaugurated on Friday, 18th July, 2014. The Program started with the Prayer song.
Thereafter, the Director-In-Charge, Mr. M Krishnan, welcomed the students and stressed on importance of quality education combining classroom teaching with corporate interactions.
The country’s economy is changing for better with expectations of uptick in job prospects. It is therefore essential for students to equip themselves with necessary skill-sets to meet the emerging challenges. The Institute is also looking to upgrade the PGDM curriculum to make it coterminous to industry expectations. The student centric approach of the Institute is centered on enhancing the knowledge base of the students besides their soft skills.
The students were then addressed and greeted by Dr. R. K. Patheja, Management Nominee. She stressed on the strong lineage of the Institute steeped in values and ethics as well as her close association and fond memories with the Khalsa fraternity spanning decades from a student initially to various positions at different points in time to the present level in the Management. She advised the students on basic discipline that they need to have for success in their studies and later in their life.
Ms. Gurjeet Multani, CDC Head gave an overview of the placement scenario and the recruiters of GNIMS. She outlined the various career development initiatives of the Institute for all round development of students and the need for the students active participation in all of them. She also emphasized on the need for necessary preparations on the part of the students for getting a good job with a handsome package. Further she spoke about the kind of mindset and discipline that will be required during the course of two years in the Institute.
After the Tea Break, Mr. Anuj Jain, Career Counselor from EduGroomers conducted an ice breaking session for the students - which included inter-alia self introduction, the importance of listening followed by some motivational videos.
The highpoint of the program was the presence of Mr. Rishab Kapoor, an alumni of the Institute belonging to the PGDM Batch 2012-14. He is presently working with Bluestar Infotech as Management Trainee. He interacted with the students and shared his life and times at GNIMS. This was followed by a familiarization tour of the campus when the PGDM students were taken round the campus. Thereafter the students had a library presentation by Ms. Neeta about the books, journals and e-journals available in the library.
The last session of the Induction was concluded by Prof. Sameer Salunkhe Class Coordinator of PGDM. He apprised the students on the ground rules and regulations of the Institute such as attendance, lecture schedules, dress code and discipline, etc.
On 16th February 2014, students of the Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies celebrated Valentine's Day with a difference - spreading / sharing love with the underprivileged children. In association with three NGO's across the city, namely, Ranchoddas Chaturbhuj cutchi Loahana Balashram (Chinchpokli), Sharddhanand Mahila Ashram (Matunga), Don Bosco (Matunga), 45 under privileged children were invited to the Institute for a day full of of food, fun, games and gifts. A Magician was invited to entertain the kids. Drawing competition, quiz , dance and singing events were organized in which students participated wholeheartedly. Lions Club of Sion and local sponsors including AV jewellers, Matunga came forward to support the initiative whole heartedly.
On 11th February, artistically motivated, Semester IV MMS students of Guru Nanak Institute Of Management Studies organized street plays on social issues prevalent in the society. They used the medium to highlight social issues like gender discrimination, woman empowerment and bias against women in our society.
A Convocation Ceremony was organized by S.G.P.C’s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies on 12th October 2013 for PGDM Batch 2011-13.The eminent dignitaries present on the occasion were, Dr.Naresh Chandra, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai, as the Guest of Honour, Dr.Ajit Singh-Director General,GNIMS, Dr.N.Shani – Academic Head - GNIMS.
A procession was led by Mr.Bins Mathew, Controller Examinations, GNIMS, Dr.Ajit Singh, Dr.Naresh Chandra, Dr.N.Shani, and Faculty In-Charges - Dr.Jyotinder Kaur Chaddah and Mr.Kapil Bhopatkar. The Ceremony began with a prayer song. Dr.Ajit Singh, felicitated the Guest of Honour, Dr.Naresh Chandra. Dr.Ajit Singh gave the Presidential address by and Key Note address was given Dr.Naresh Chandra. Further the students were awarded the degrees by the Guest of Honour and received a memento and a CD of their memories of GNIMS by Dr.Ajit Singh. Also, the toppers of respective specializations and Overall topper of PGDM Batch 2011-13 were given trophies. The pledge was then administered by Dr.Naresh Chandra followed by Conferment of Degree by Dr.Ajit Singh.
Dr.N.Shani, proposed the Vote of Thanks. This was followed by procession to complete the ceremony and then a photo session. An informal session of games was organized for the students at the end by student volunteers. The ceremony was indeed a great success with the support of all teaching,non-teaching staff,student volunteers and the Convocation Committee (Ms.Channpreet Kaur, Mr.Sameer Salunke and Ms.Suchita Shetty, Assistant Professors, GNIMS)
“Gaon Se Gaon Tak” is a rural business plan contest held on 10th of October 2013 on campus in form of an exhibition organized by full time management students of GNIMS. This event was a one day exhibition put up by the full time students of MMS & PGDM which gave them an opportunity to exhibit their business models in front of the guest and the visitors.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Ajit Singh (Director General, GNIMS), Mr Venkatesh Iyer (Goli Vada Pav) and Dr N. Shani (Academic Head, GNIMS). In total 7 teams participated in the exhibition with great enthusiasm and a unique business plan. Over 150 students and staff came to see and appreciate the work done by students. Overall the event was a great success. “Satwik” was declared as “Winning team” of the show and has won the first prize for its rural business model.
On 4th October 2013 GNIMS marketing department uses innovative pedagogy to teach concepts to students.
The Marketing department gave students an opportunity to turn Retailers for a day! And the students grabbed the chance with both hands. The entire campus was buzzing with advertisements , pamphlets about the programs.
Students tried to create innovative store formats in the space allocated to them. Catalogue shopping, gaming zones, merchandising products from an NGO, Snehalaya, hand made merchandise, photoexhibition cum sale, Rs 25 Store and different food stalls dotted the space.
This event gave students a first hand opportunity to experience and put into practice various aspects of organized retail.
Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh Trade Union visit on 28th August 2013 by HR students proved to be a learning experience; where students were given practical insights regarding Industrial Relations and Disputes. Management lessons such as union leadership, trade union jugaad, staffing, recruitment, etc. were well received by the students. Mr. V.K.Sawant, Trade Union Leader and Mr. Shetty spoke on working system, upcoming opportunities in the field of HR in Indian Railways, maintenance of bogies in underlying car-sheds, compensation and fringe benefits. All in all, it was an enjoyable and enriching experience for GNIMS management HR students.
A “3 Day Induction Programme for PGDM Batch 2013-15” was inaugurated on Wednesday, 17th July, 2013. The induction was inaugurated with the addressal of our Director General Dr. Ajit Singh, where he spoke and addressed the students about the ever changing environment of management and the need for continuous updation of PGDM curriculum via students. The students were also addressed and greeted by our Academic Head Dr. N. Shani, this was followed by the addressal of Prof. Kapil Bhopatkar, who was speaking on behalf of all the Faculty-In-Charges, he spoke about the kind of a mindset required by the students for the course. The function had a very special moment where the placement toppers of PGDM Batch 2011-13 Mr. Ramandeep Singh (PG-Operations) placed at Syntel and Ms. Jamine Kaur Nagpal (PG-Finace) placed at ICICI Securities were felicitated by Dr. Ajit Singh. The existing students of PGDM also presented a powerpoint presentation on “PGDM @ GNIMS”. This was followed by a campus tour where the current PGDM students took the new batch through a facility tour of the GNIMS campus; this ensured a very healthy interaction between the senior and the junior batch. As a concluding session the students had a library presentation by Prof. Kuljit Kaur and Proquest Database session by Dr. Jyotinder Kaur Chaddah. Over the next two days the students will be taken through an Inbound Experential Learning programme and orientation on management specializations and basic concepts.
S.G.P.C.'s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) Post-Graduate Diploma Management (PGDM) Convocation for the academic year 2010-2012 was held on 22nd September, 2012. The dignitary invited for the event was, Mr. Robin Banerjee, Deputy Managing Director of Pune based Bilcare Limited. The event commenced with addressal of our Director General, Dr. Ajit Singh, followed by the warm welcome speech by our Director Prof Dr. Vidya Hattangadi. The chief guest enlightened the audience with a speech on impact analysis of recession in India.
S.G.P.C's Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) organized an inaugural Corporate 20:20 Cricket Match between B.A.R.C. and GNIMS students on 31st March 2012. The match was held on the B.A.R.C. cricket ground, Chembur.
The match was won by the B.A.R.C. cricket team. Best bowler and Best batsman award went to the players of B.A.R.C. team, whereas for his brilliant all round performance Dhawal Pawaskar (MMS Sem-II) won the Man of the Match award, he was also captaining the GNIMS Team.
Prof. Dr. Vidya Hattangadi along with many faculty members were present to cheer team GNIMS. The spirit with which the match was played was well appreciated by both the sides.
The revolving GNIMS trophy went to B.A.R.C team and both the teams would be again playing for the same in the later part of the year 2012.
SGPC's Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) organized a seminar on the topic of Highlights of Union Budget on 24th March 2012. The Speaker for the session was Mr. Kamlesh Kotak - Head of Research - Asian Market Security.
The lecture started with the Global and Indian economy preview, and what future holds for the Indian economy. The union budget as per the speaker was "commercialized". The next part had the entire budget at a glance, where in the meaning and applicability of various concepts like revenue, fiscal and primary deficit was explained and discussed.
The next part of the seminar included the takeaways from the budget. This was followed by the budget proposals good and bad points and what is missing in the budget. Later on the speaker discussed the impact of the budget on various industries. What's in the budget for the common man was also discussed in depth. This was followed by key statistics related top the budget and a question and answer session with the students.
Students, faculty members and staff of Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) in Matunga jointly organised a walk with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) on Sunday to create awareness about Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
The students have taken up MS awareness as one of their social missions in the present academic year. MS is a disease of the central nervous system which affects its functioning, unexpectedly resulting in devastating disabilities in young people in the prime of their lives. It has various symptoms from minor visual disturbances to total paralysis.
The walk commenced at 7.30am and continued till 11am, covering the Dadar and Matunga areas. The students had recently also volunteered for an MS camp organised at Shushrusha Hospital in Dadar.
Dr Ajit Singh, secretary, local management committee of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) to which GNIMS belongs, encouraged the students and faculty to take u p social responsibilities as one of their main tasks. Dr Vidya Hattangadi, director, GNIMS, said that organisations do not exist in vacuum; they need to recognise social factors and help them to grow.
Anita Vesuvala, honourary secretary, and Sheela Chitnis, vice-president of MSSI, said that they need more youngsters to join them in creating MS awareness in society.
SGPC's Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) organized a seminar in association with Higher Education Forum (HEF) on the topic of how the Mumbai Dabbawalla's have mastered the art of supply chain management on 11th February 2012.
The seminar opened with the address of Dr. A. K. Sengupta - the founder member of Higher Education Forum. Dr. Sengupta in his address to the students and faculties emphasized on practical approaches in the class rooms while implementing the curriculum. He also said that the syllabus needs regular upgradation.
Dr. Pawan Agrawal a PhD on the topic of "A study of Logistics and Supply chain Management on Dabbawalla's in Mumbai" mesmerized the audience with his zealous and witty presentation on the subject. Dr. Agrawal has given presentations in Paris, Netherlands, USA etc.
The Forbes Global has made the Mumbai Dabbawalla's global figures. The Dabbawallas seem to have made a mark for themselves in the Management curriculum in some of the global B Schools in the Supply Chain Management. One of the astonishing facts of the Dabbawalla's is their accuracy in supplying dabba's all over Mumbai within the recorded time. The dabbawallas do their jobs with passion, honest and punctuality with a high level commitment and selflessness.
Dr. Agrawal enthused the students by touching upon the qualities and values exhibited by the dabbawalla's, which the future managers should emulate.
A Workshop on Overcoming Fears and Stress Management and R.E.B.T.
A workshop on "Self-Development", for the First Year MMS and PGDM students was organized on 27th January, 2012. The workshop was divided into two sessions, "Overcoming Fears and Stress Management" and "R.E.B.T."
The first session i.e. "Overcoming Fears and Stress Management", was facilitated by Dr. Ali Akbar Gabhrani. The speaker, a clinical psychologist and an eminent personality in the field of stress management and counseling, he touched upon the definition and causes of stress and fears. He also stressed upon how to overcome fears and manage stress in the daily life of a student. The session was highly interactive and enjoyable and extremely helpful for the students.
The second session on "R.E.B.T." was facilitated by Ms. Ambereen Pradhan. The speaker is a trained REBT professional. The session covered practical applications of REBT. The session was made interactive with the speaker and her team indulging the students into various activities and role plays.
REBT stresses on our thinking, judging, deciding, analyzing, and doing. An effort was made by the speaker to teach that our emotions stem mainly from our beliefs, evaluations, interpretations, and reactions to life situations.
The session focused on reinstating the fact that we are born with a potential for both rational and irrational thinking. We are self-talking, self-evaluating, and self-sustaining. We have an inborn tendency toward growth and actualization. We learn and invent disturbing beliefs and keep ourselves disturbed through our self-talk. We have the capacity to change our cognitive, emotive, and behavioral processes.
A workshop on, "NSE's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM)" for the First Year MMS and PGDM students was organized on 21st January, 2012. It was a day long workshop, wherein the first half of the day was dedicated to the general basic concepts in financial market and the second half stressed more upon the NCFM modules.
The speaker for the day was Mr. Aditya Jadhav, he works for National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. as Assistant Manager (Research & Education), and also he is responsible for managing the NSE's research & publications. The workshop was a highly interactive wherein a lot of industry trends and concepts were discussed with the students. The students were exposed and introduced to various modules of NCFM, also the contents and scope was discussed. The speaker also resolved in depth the student's queries with respect to different aspects and functions of a finance manager in various areas of finance. The session was followed by a questions and answer interaction between the students and the speaker.

S.G.P.C.'s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) Post-Graduate Diploma Management (PGDM) Convocation for the academic year 2009-2011 (Full-Time) and 2008-2011 (Part-Time) was held on 17th September, 2011.
The dignitaries for the event, included The Key Note Speaker, Mr. Prakash Shanware - CEO & President (People First - A Management Consulting Firm), and The Chief Guest, Mr. K.B. Balmurali, President- HR (Samsara Group).
The event commenced with blessings of Dr. Ajit Singh, D.G. & Addl. Sec. L.M.C. I/C Director Dr. Gowri Joshi welcomed the gathering and delivered a brief addressal about the challenges ahead for the 54 students gathered for the ceremony.
The Key Note Speaker briefed how India as an economy has earned respect globally. The Chief Guest provided an insight about Indian mythology and management.
The Key Note Speaker recited the Management Convocation Oath, post which, the certificates were awarded by him and the Chief Guest to the students.
